4 Healthy and Delicious Breakfast Ideas
Breakfast can be one of the most difficult meals to decide in your day, at least that’s how I usually feel. I am usually not hungry in the morning but in order to kickstart my day, I have to push myself to eat breakfast anyway. Will I go for a plain and simple breakfast like cereal or bread with anything I can find in the fridge? Or should I take my time and create a healthy and delicious breakfast that will make me start my day with a huge smile on my face? I’ll go for the latter! These 4 healthy and delicious breakfast recipes will guaranteed make your mornings better!
Spicy avocado toast
My personal favourite 😍!! Avocado toast with a twist. What you’ll need:
- Dark bread – if you can find dark bread with seeds, even better!
- 1 avocado
- 1 red onion
- 1 lime
- Chili oil
- Chili flakes (optional, can you handle a little spice? Go for it!)
- Salt & pepper seasoning
How to
Toast two slices of bread in a pan or in a toaster. Cut your avocado in half, remove the pit and cut your avocado in cubes. Scoop out both halves and put in a bowl. Cut half of the red onion in small cubes and add into the bowl as well. Then, squeeze the juice of half a lime in the bowl. Use a fork to mash the avocado, lime and onion together. Add salt and pepper for taste. Spread the avocado mixture onto your slices, drizzle some chili oil on top and, if you dare, sprinkle as much chili flakes on top of your bread as you like. Enjoy your avo toast girl!
Healthy strawberry shake
This strawberry smoothie is super easy to make and it’s incredibly delicious, what else do you need?
- Cute Nutrition strawberry meal replacement shake
- A variety of fruit (frozen or non-frozen) 🍓
- 250 ml of milk (any will do, just choose your personal favourite!)
Optional; mixture of nuts to make the shake more filling.
How to
Add 3 scoops of your strawberry meal replacement shake and 250 ml of milk into a blender. Add a handful of frozen or non-frozen fruit and if you like some nuts. Blend for 30 seconds to a minute and poor into a glass. That’s it, easy peasy!
The ultimate breakfast cracker
I probably eat this 3 to 4 times a week. Best-combination-ever!! I’ll tell you what you need girl 💁.
- 2-3 crackers; depending on how hungry you are. Any type of cracker is fine, I prefer mine whole grain style.
- 1 avocado
- Half a lemon
- 1 red onion
- Chicken fillet (topping, not the type you have to cook first 😉)
- Arugula
- Chili oil & chili flakes (optional; if you like it spicy🌶)
- Salt & pepper seasoning
How to
Cut your onion in half and use one half to cut it in rings. Then cut your avocado in half, remove the pit, cut in thin slices and scoop out with a spoon. Lay down two to three crackers and start layering your ingredients:
First, add one to two slices of chicken fillet per cracker. Then, add your avocado slices and sprinkle some lemon juice, salt & pepper (and optionally chili oil & chili flakes) on top. Add as much red onion as you like and finish with arugula. Voila, the ultimate breakfast cracker!
Healthy protein pancakes with lemon juice and honey
I know what you probably thought when you read pancakes, that’s not healthy?? Well, guess what, yes these pancakes are actually healthy! Cute Nutrition’s donut flavoured protein pancake mixture allows you to eat healthy yet delicious pancakes, done in 5 minutes! What do you need?
- 4 scoops of the donut flavoured protein pancake 🍩
- 100ml of water
- A shaker
- Lemon juice and honey for toppings
How to
Add 60g (four scoops) to 100ml water or milk. Mix batter in a shaker. Heat a frying pan over a medium heat and add a small amount of oil/butter then add half of the batter to the pan and cook. Flip the pancakes after they’ve started bubbling for about 30 seconds to one minute. Leave on the other side for 30 more seconds and serve. Drizzle some honey and lemon juice on top and you’re all done!
(60g makes 2 pancakes).
