4 Tips to Get Back in Shape for Summer

We are getting closer to spring and before you know it summer time, yay! If corona allows us to show our best bikinis and bathing suits this year, which hopefully it will, we need to be on point looking as cute as we can. That bikini bod isn’t going to create itself. Now I know that the gyms are closed and in my opinion it takes some willpower to properly work out from home. But, you’re not alone! It’s our hot girl summer this year and we are here to get you through it.

You have to do it yourself eventually but we’re here to give you an insight of our fav get fit at home tips. Here’s 4 of them which will get you through spring, ready for that summer bikini bod in no time!

  1. A healthy and balanced diet.

We’re not expecting, and neither should you, that you should eat salads all day every day until summer. We can however, strongly recommend you to put together a balanced and healthy diet that won’t be impossible to follow. For example:

Breakfast – yoghurt with fruit, crackers with avocado and tomatoes or one of our healthy and delicious meal replacement shakes. These are particularly great because not everyone likes to start their mornings off with a full meal. You simply mix the shakes with water or milk and drink it in an instant. They will keep you full until lunchtime.

Lunch – I’d recommend looking up some healthy (quick and easy if necessary) lunch recipes online. Choose a few, buy all the ingredients for a week and you have your lunches ready to go. You could even have a shake for lunch if you had something else for breakfast and mix it up with some frozen fruit and milk.

Snack – you could eat a variety of snacks like nuts, popcorn (no butter and not too much salt though), a cute nutrition shake, raw veggies and hummus or cracker with a healthy topping.

Dinner – I would recommend the same for dinner as for lunch; look up some healthy and delicious dinner recipes and plan out your meals. We published a variety of healthy (and delicious) dinner recipes that will blow your mind! Click the link to check them out here.

Drinks in between meals – I’d honestly recommend sticking with water, tea or some sort of skinny juice like ours. Low sugar, low calories or zero calories would be best 😊.

  1. 10-minute at home workouts.

There’s lots of quick workout programs you can follow at home. You’ll be done in 10 minutes but still have completed your workout. We posted some workout programs on our Youtube channel and blog. Here’s a link to our Youtube channel and here’s the link to our blog post.

  1. Try to complete at least 7500 steps each day.

Working out from home might not be everyone’s cup of tea. I understand, sometimes the situation isn’t ideal at home either. Try to walk at least 7500 steps every day, this will get you so far! Try new routes and you might just discover things in your area that you hadn’t discovered yet.

  1. No-booze March.

So I know that during lockdown alcohol consumption can get out of hand. I mean, we don’t blame anyone, what else is there to do? The problem is that alcohol contains lots of sugars and it quite frankly isn’t good for you. You don’t necessarily have to quite drinking alcohol for the rest of lockdown but a detox month can be really good for you in order to achieve the best results.
